The Class A Office Leasing Market in Los Angeles continued its upward trend as quoted rental rates increased 5.4% to $32.50 at the end of the second quarter of 2007. Annual rents are up 13% from a year earlier. While rental rates continued to climb, the market continued to tighten with the vacancy rate dropping to 9.4%.
Orange County Overview
The second quarter of 2007 saw the Orange County office market vacancy rate increase to 8.4%, up from the previous quarter, which posted at 7.6%. The increase can be attributed to the negative absorption of 227,726 square feet and the 48 buildings that were delivered this quarter totaling 949,519 square feet.
