Community of Financial Executives Provides Platform to Discuss Business Struggles and Best Practices

TORRANCE, CALIF. – May 11, 2009 – The Technology Council of Southern California, www.tcosc.orgthe premier forum for the region’s technology leaders – today announced the launch of the Financial Executives Society. The society is geared specifically for financial executives in the technology industry, also marking the first step in the Technology Council’s new strategic path centered on leveraging the vertical-specific experience and leadership of its members to provide events, connections, information and resources that help technology companies succeed.

Sponsored by SingerLewak, the society is comprised of CFO’s, controllers and business executives who manage the financial operations of technology organizations located throughout Southern California. Programming will include roundtable discussions, guest speaker events and educational workshops covering a variety of topics including tax, finance, accounting and more. Members will benefit from knowledge-transfer and networking opportunities within their specific area of expertise and interest.

·         Nov. 17 – “Financial Reporting:  A Retrospective of Changes from 2009 and What's Up and Coming for 2010”
