Industry’s Elite Executives Discuss How to Leverage Social Networking to Grow Businesses and Expand Career Opportunities

TORRANCE, CALIF. – May 14, 2009 – The Technology Council of Southern California, www.tcosc.org, today announced it will team up with executives from the industry’s leading social networking companies to host the Social Networking as a Business Strategy event on May 19, 2009 at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel in Culver City, Calif. The event will be held from 5:45 to 9 p.m. PT.

Tony Karrer, CEO/CTO of TechEmpower, will moderate the panel discussion that features industry luminaries from social networking Web sites, media sharing platforms, online advertising vendors and law offices. Panelists will discuss the use of social networking for productivity, hiring, communications, brand building and more. They will also discuss today’s most relevant issues such as risks related to corporate blogging and privacy, social media advertising opportunities and tips and tricks for monetizing social media initiatives.
