Working with Traditional and Social Media
to Help Your Company Stand out From the Crowd

* Public Relations Workshop *

October 15, 2009

For many of today’s technology companies, working effectively with media can be crucial to breaking through the clutter and ensuring your message is making an impact with your target audience. However, when busy executives are looking at long “to do” lists in front of them, working with media can sometimes seem daunting.

Fear not. By attending this interactive workshop, you’ll learn the secrets to ensuring your message is not only heard, but is also effective in positioning your company, products and services in the most positive light to drive results. Join the Technology Council along with industry-leading journalists and PR professionals in the following four breakout group sessions to discover how to:

·         Achieve Pitch Writing Success – Learn the secrets to crafting pitches that stand out from the pack and cause that crucial “a-ha” moment for journalists

·         Deliver Impactful Print Interviews – Master tips for delivering dynamic perspective that delivers on your communications objectives

·         Conduct Broadcast Interviews that Hit the Mark – Uncover on-air best practices through a hands-on session that includes mock on-camera interviews

·         Create, Expand and Empower Your Brand Through Social Media – From courting top bloggers to creating your own thought leadership vehicle; from podcasts to Twitter, social media not only lets you “get” media, it lets you become media in a very powerful and targeted way

The four interactive sessions will include an opportunity for attendees to try their hand at various PR tactics and receive invaluable insight and feedback from the experts.  You will be rotating through all four groups.

This workshop has limited seating due to the interactive format; only the first 60 registrants will be accepted.  A simple box type dinner will be served.
